Hello Beauties! The cold weather is upon us and if you live in a northern or snowy state like me, it can go into the negatives for days on end and really start to take a toll on your body. To help you keep you looking good and feeling your best all season long, I’m going to share with you my must have beauty products for the cold weather.
Chapstick: This is probably a no brainer but with the cold weather, comes the chapped lips. And nothing is more excruciating than having your lips crack and bleed or peel off. I make it a habit of ALWAYS having chapstick with me. My school bag, my purse, my car, at work, my husband’s car, and scattered throughout my house. Here are some of my favs:
Lip Masks: This is a product I tend to use only during the winter months, but if you have insanely dry, cracked, and chapped lips you need to try a lip mask now! There are different kinds of lip masks too. There are sheet lip masks that are a one-time use and then there are lip masks that come in tubes and are more of moisturizer for your lips. I’ll sometimes use the lip (sheet) mask while I do my makeup if my lips have been feeling dry, otherwise I normally lather a thick layer of a lip mask that comes in a tube (moisturizer) before bed. I sleep with it on and when I wake up, my lips are so soft!
Moisturizer: Another duh! Kind of product is a moisturizer. However, even such an obvious product can sometimes be overlooked. I know there are many moisturizers out there but when my skin is feeling very dry, I look for non-scented and ultra-rich moisturizers that actually help my skin instead of just making them smell good. I have specific ones for my body and specific ones for my face, but regardless of whether my face is feeling dry or not I make sure to moisturize it every day (super important for youthful looking skin).
Spa Socks: Socks? Yes girl (or boy)! Trust me when I tell you that wearing closed toe shoes all the time, wet socks, and walking around in the cold weather can have serious consequences on your feet. So if you find yourself needing a little TLC for your feet, you can purchase these super soft socks pretty much anywhere for super cheap, lather your feet in moisturizer (see above for good ones) and put them on right before bed. Your feet will be so soft and smooth by morning time!
Oil/Serum: No boo-boo not cooking oil. I don’t know about you but during the winter months my skin is kinda oily, but mostly extra dry. In the mornings I’ve been really liking some facial oil to get my skin moisturized and feeling supple for makeup application. There are some oils that can feel greasy or sticky on the fcae but these next ones aren’t at all.
What are some of your must have beauty products for the cold weather? Agree with any of these?
