Hey beauties! I hope you all had a Fantastic weekend and for those of you that are Veterans, I hope you had a great Veteran’s Day and thank you for all you do! I had Friday off since it’s a federal holiday so my weekend was somewhat eventful.
Friday November 10, 2017:
As mentioned, I had Friday off since it was a federal holiday. Though I wish I had some juicy exciting story about what I did with my day off, the reality is that I ran errands and played catch up LOL. Being that I work M-F and go to school at night, a lot of stuff gets pushed out until the weekends so when I get a day off I like to take advantage of it and cross things off my list. I ran most of my errands and one of the big ones was to get my hair cut.
It’s been a while since I have gotten my hair cut (I know, I’m bad) mostly because I don’t have time and I like my hair long, but i was feeling a little bit adventurous and cut like 4 inches off (which is a lot for me) and I got bangs! You can’t see it much here, but I have a picture on my instagram where you can.
It had been a while since we went out so Erick and I decided to head to Uptown to a games bar called Updown. We weren’t there for a really long time but when we left at almost midnight little bits of snow started to cover the streets.
Pretty to look at but cold.
Saturday November 11, 2017:
Saturday was an exciting one for me and my friend Sambo. We were both asked to be panel speakers for the first annual Youth Latino Conference hosted by CLUES, a national organization dedicated to aiding Latinos in Minnesota.
Honestly, I was so honored. People out there actually think I have my life together enough that I should be advising the youth?! LOL It was a great experience and although I love makeup and can sometimes come off like its all about physical possessions, I actually love philanthropy and mentoring work. If you are able to help someone’s life be better by donating your time or advice, why wouldn’t you do it?
Erick and I have also stayed on track with going to the gym 3-4 times a week so we finished the day with that.
Sunday November 12, 2017:
Before I knew it, it was Sunday. And this Sunday was a particularly productive one. I was able to film 2 videos, head to class, wash all the laundry, work on my brief and Erick and I set up the Christmas tree and even managed to squeeze in the gym (I told you, we on that grind) late in the evening.
Before the gym though we did have early dinner at Pizza Luce. If you live in Minnesota and you have never tried Pizza Luce, you are missing out. It is FANTASTIC and they have specialty pizzas that sounds gross but are so good. We got half pepperoni, half baked potato and were stuffed.
That’s it y’all! What did you do this weekend? Anything happening this week? To see more of my daily life follow my snapchat: andrea_babe20
